One of over two hundred locomotives of this class to be purchased by the Queensland
Railways, this engine was built by Walkers Ltd. Maryborough, Queensland
to the design of H. Horniblow, who was the locomotive engineer at the time,
and was allocated construction number 91 of 1908. When it entered service
on the Government system, it had a boiler which operated at 150 pounds
per square inch (later increased to 160 pound per square inch) to drive
its 48inch (1219mm) diameter driving wheels through its 15 inch diameter
and 20 inch stroke (381 X 508) cylinders. The boiler itself had a heating
surface of 722 square feet while the firebox added another 80 square feet
to give a total heating surface of 802 square feet. The grate area pf the
firebox is 13.1 square feet. In working order, the engine unit weighs 32T
1C (32564kg), the tender 24T 5C (24629kg) which gives a total of 56T 6C
(57203kg). The tender, which is carried on two four wheel bogies with 33
inch (838mm) diameter wheels carries 4 Ton (4064kg) and 1800 gallons (81231)
of water. It was sold to K.R. Hunter's Pioneer Valley Amusement Park after
